“Day 3
I woke up and looked out the window in the backyard, there were nice setting of patio and garden all around lodge, tiny creek was running, so peaceful. Last night was to dark to look out and I didn’t realized where we were staying is very beautiful place. After continental breakfast, We drove to west yellowstone entry for 45 minutes, along the way there was large creek with white gravels  running side of valley, tall pine trees arranged by nature nicely. it reminded me a long time ago when I was about 1 .5 years old, my parent and I visited my mom’s home town called Moo Joo, I went out in the creek with neighbor kids and we tried to catch a little tiny fishes in the creek with my black rubber shoes, those day we didn’t have any shoes like we have for children now a day, but all I wanted to catch a few fishes. Couple times i giggled by a tiny fish tickle my toes, the water was so clear that i could see every little things in the water. I also remembered that I got stung by bee on my forehead and someone put bean paste ( denjang )  on my forehead .  That was one of first aid medicine remedy those days. I think that time my mom was pregnant( my sister was in her tummy ) . Although i didn’t remember much of mom’s family, but  she told me that she was raised by her grandmother with her two sisters, her father went to study abroad to Japan, during the time he had some kind of illness and come home and died, soon after her mom died ,too. She was 5 years old, too young to know what cause those old day, in Korea didn’t have hospital in that town. But I knew her father must be very bright man and their family was an wealthy family to go to study abroad in Japan. I was wondering , if her parent survived that time, her father gave her higher educations, but she is still very bright women with only 6 th grade education. Anyway on the way to Busan, My father told me during that time korea started Korean War.  We took more than a month to get home from MooJoo to Busan by walking and by steam train, i remembered every time the train passed tunnel, every one have little two chimneys  on their faces. I can still remembered the smell of that black smoke from the train. My father told me that on the way down he almost got killed by north Korean army, when they stopped us, he bagged and they looked at me and my mom’s tummy, than I guess they spared us to let us go. May be they let him go because his handsome look and cute innocent look of me and mom.( just my random theory ). When my Dad was young, he was very handsome and very stylish as he still is, and sharp man, smart, although now he is an old man, still sharp, curious, obsessive for a little thing.  I think,  I got a little bit carried away and side track by beautiful creeks.
Pat was enjoying his drive and sight scene all the way to yellowstone. At9:30 we entered yellowstone , soon we saw a huge male Elk, every car stopped to take pictures and looked. And a few minutes later we saw steaming up here and there.
We stopped Norris Geyser Basin, it was amazing sights. Pat tried to set the tri- pot to take photo, he took a time forever to take one and he couldn’t see the view finder very well, he made his mouth like : ( this. He looked so funny old man, I laughed for a while. I had to have some laughter in this national park tour. It was a cloudy day, but very pleasant to walk around, today. We stopped Mammoth hot spring. We had lunch in our van like yesterday. We drove to Tower-Roosevelt to see Tower fall, Lamar valley, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Lake village. In Lamar valley, we saw a lots of bison herds than other area, we thought it was good decision to drive by, it was first time. It was amazing to watch the upper fall and lower fall, sounded like huge thunder. At 4:00 pm we are driving to west entrance, will stop for grocery, and drive to Buck T-4 lodge, where we are going to stay another night.
Be happy !!
Love,
